Maybe you've played with caches, load balancing, message queues, microservice architectures, machine learning or distributed systems? And you absolutely love Python? Your responsibilities will be:

• Primary responsibility is working on backend code, consuming and building new API’s.
• If you have the chops to do some web development on the side, all the better!
• There will always also be infrastructure automation work, if you are so inclined.

Technical requirements:

• At least eight (8) years of professional software development experience (C/C++/Java/Python/PHP/Scala/JavaScript/anything goes).
  
• At least one (1) year of server-side Python development experience (at least one released product).
• Strong with backend and comfortable with frontend of web stack (Python/Django, Postgres, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Understand how basic networking and HTTP requests work.
• Experience building/using RESTful interfaces.
• Comfort with and personal preference for agile development model.

Nice to have:

• Huge plus if you have experience related to financial services.
• Django experience is another big plus.
• Have built and utilised different types of networked APIs.
• Have experience building scalable systems.
• Have a general idea what DevOps is.
• General interest in backend architecture.
  

Working in a small team, you will have the freedom to pursue your own solutions to problems, and will have a large impact on the technology and architecture behind MONI.
