Globuzzer is a social network for expats, which was launched one year ago. A winner of KTH Innovation pre-incubator, that has also been selected as a successful showcase in Silicon Valley by the hosted social network builder company Mighty Networks. We have over 17K followers on our Facebook page and over 19.8 K users on our website. The team consists of 60 multinational talented people that operate in 17 countries. Now we are looking for a motivated backend developer to join our dream.

The daily tasks include

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Perform UI tests to optimize performance
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use 
• Liaise with developers and designers to identify new features
• Follow emerging technologies

As a successful candidate you have:

• Preferably a bachelor degree attained (or about to graduate) from a relevant educational background
• At least 1 year of back-end development building web applications using PHP
• Understanding of JavaScript SASS, HTML5, CSS3 & Javascript
• Knowledge of JavaScript and its frameworks ( jQuery, React, Angular and AJAX), MySQL
• Good English and communication skills
• Familiar with Framework such as Bootstrap
• An attitude to become more of a full-stack developer (if you aren't one already)
• Understanding the basics of Project Management is a plus
• Feels comfortable working in fast-paced environment
• Is flexible and can handle pressure
