We want you to be a key player in a team that is building the product required to handle our rapid global growth. Our multidisciplinary team combines design, frontend and backend engineering, quality assurance and project management.

As a backend developer at Brella, you'll be involved in the product development process from start to finish, from building new features to developing our architecture. You'll enjoy a high level of ownership of the features you work on.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Creating a world class product from research to implementation and operations

• Participating in every phase of the development process from concepts to release

• Working together with PM, designers, back-end and front-end devs to ship features into production

• Writing jsonapi.org compliant REST APIs with Ruby on Rails, and testing them with RSpec request specs

Who we are looking for:

Someone with...

• * Good communication skills and ability to discuss software design decisions

• * Understanding of lean product development

• * Generalist attitude and good team skills

• * Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs and JSON

• * Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails or a similar framework

• * Familiarity with relational databases, TDD/BDD and git
