We are looking for a business systems engineer combining technical expertise with a knack for business processes. You’ll be at ease working on defining and iterating over business processes including billing, revenue recognition, CRM automation and turning those processes into Python and SQL code and third-party integrations.

The majority of Aiven customers use our self-service dashboard and APIs to not only provision new data services, but also for tracking their spend and defining the way they wish to be billed.  To make sure we’re able to serve our customers across a wide array of regions and verticals we have implemented a proprietary suite of tools that  integrates with various third party providers including Hubspot, Intercom and Stripe.

As a Business Systems Engineer you will work full time improving these tools and processes. In this role you’ll experience what it feels like to be part of a SaaS-company with massive growth numbers and what’s needed to enable the scaling of its business operations through code.

What you have:

  • Passion for working on and optimizing business processes
  • 2+ years of Python and SQL programming experience
  • Experience in software development tools and processes, e.g. Git
  • Hands-on experience defining workflows and integrating Hubspot,, Intercom and similar tools
  • Ability to work and communicate with stakeholders in different parts of the company, e.g. engineering, finance and sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
