The Shortcut is a community driven organisation that promotes diversity as an engine for growth. We want to encourage more people from diverse backgrounds to consider creating or working for a startup to best utilise their skills and aspirations. We inspire and empower our community through gatherings, workshops, trainings and programmes that help them explore ideas, share knowledge and develop skills to enable new talents required in the startup life.

We are looking for interns, hungry for experience that need a place to showcase what they are made of. Are you the kind of person that is happy to bring ideas and value to a team and to yourself? Do you love to work for and with the community? Then this is your place!

You have:

● Creative mind with excellent command of English

● Top-notch spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.

● Team Player willing to support many areas of the Marketing team

● A problem-solver, self-starter and forward thinker

● Able to take ownership of a task or process, and see it through from inception to completion.

Maybe you even have:

● Familiarity with SEO

● Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Keywords

Among other things, you will:

● Work closely with the marketing team to devise a content strategy that aligns with the company's wider goals.

● Research industry-related topics, write, edit and proofread publications for The Shortcut Talks Blog while maintaining the tone and voice of the organization.

● Creation of a content marketing calendar to ensure regular content for the blog, newsletters, website etc.

● Writing entertaining and informative search engine optimised copy.

● Creation of entertaining and informative video content.

● Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content.

This internship can be completed for credit if arranged in advance with your university.

Duration: 4-6 month full-time
