We are now looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our cloud portfolio development team to turn our software into easy-to-use products and ‘wow’ experiences for our clients. We are a small and agile team but growing rapidly and our mission is to create a digital footprint throughout the construction lifecycle for improved visibility, seamless workflows and better living. 

Your responsibilities will include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base. 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have experience with design software and wireframe tools. If you also have a portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications, we’d like to meet you! We also consider as a plus if you have basic knowledge of frontend technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Also, fluency in Finnish language is considered as an advantage, as you will need to collaborate with field engineers at the construction sites. 

Responsibilities: 

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and developers 
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Design and prototype intelligent graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop lovable UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how products function and look like
• Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
• Conduct user tests and customer focus groups as part of the design projects to validate your team's work
• Collaborate and communicate your designs to internal stakeholder teams
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images

Requirements: 

• Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role 
• Portfolio of design projects in modern human centered design
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision)
• Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Great team spirit, hands-on personality and willingness to work closely with various stakeholders across disciplines.
• Passionate about great user experiences and want to make magic visible!
• Good time-management and can-do attitude
• BSc in Design, Computer Science or relevant field
