3D Artist Intern

SYBO is growing. We’re releasing new games, building on the massive success of Subway Surfers as the most downloaded game of all time (4 billion downloads and counting!) and continuing to excite and surprise the most important people in the world: Our players!

We are a new games unit at SYBO games looking at prototyping fast and finding the fun. It'll be rapid development with a focus on actual player feedback and delivering playable iterations on the device. Add to this a mix of respectful feedback from colleagues and an open environment to create, learn and collaborate. You would join our quest for delivering enjoyable & memorable moments for SYBO’s players around the world. We’re still building the processes so you have a chance to influence it and challenge our current processes.

We’re looking for someone with a broader skill set rather than speciality, so if you are interested in doing both characters and environments, it’ll only be a plus for us. If you’d like to have your hands on many things, you have the right personality for this role, and will be a very welcome addition to the team.

This internship is unpaid and full-time running for the fall semester in 2024.

Your time at SYBO

In the first month, you'll be focused on modeling and getting things into the build, whether that is quick blocking mockups or more polished models. Ideally, by now you are getting more familiar with Unity.

After your onboarding month, you’ll take full part of our early stage game making, whether this means jamming out new game ideas or working on improvements based on findings from playtests.

Responsibilities

• 3D modeling both characters, environment and props

• Importing and setting up 3D graphics in Unity

• Doing the texturing and lighting 

• Work on realizing visual concepts to the best of your technical ability in game engine

Requirements

• Knowledge of Blender and solid 3D modeling skills

• Understanding of the Unity game engine

It is a requirement to be enrolled in a university program that supports a full-time internship as part of the education - and you need to be able to commute to our Copenhagen office on a daily basis.

We do not offer relocation, VISA, or house search assistance for internships.

Bonus Points

• Technical know-how regarding particles, shaders and general Unity expertise will be a plus.
