The internship is a four-month full-time position, starting in early December, 2017 and ending in mid-March, 2018.
The Programme Design Intern will help to iterate and develop the existing and emerging activities at The Shortcut Lab, a community commingling space in the Maria 01 startup hub. Events are at the heart of this space and our community, designed to create networking and skill-development opportunities for people interested in starting or working for start-ups.
The intern will develop new programming concepts and content, work with speakers on workshop design, develop sponsorship packages, and execute our various programmes and activities.
This is a position for candidates who want to find out if they have the entrepreneurial mindset, or to discover hidden abilities and begin their startup journey.
Specific tasks include:
1) Service and Content Development: research and ideate programming ideas around our key focus areas: Business, Design and Tech
2) Programme logistics and support: participant outreach and communication, facilities arrangements, event promotion and team coordination
3) Sponsorships: build and steward relationships with startups and other companies as programme sponsors
4) Community Development: contribute at The Shortcut Lab and to our growing community
The assigned tasks should contribute to the personal development and acquisition of skills of the intern, and offer an insight into the creation of community building/development, participatory work and user empowerment (creation of an ecosystem from scratch).
