We are a seed-stage start-up targeting the recreational rental industry, so our customer are ski resorts, bicycle rental companies, surf shops etc. The problem that we are solving, is how to enable a diverse industry to automate some of its manual tasks and grow by taking their consumer experience to the next level. In practice we are creating solutions for in-store, online and for the end-user, front- and back-office. You could say that we aim to be the PayPal/Hubspot of rental companies.

As a developer, you will get to work with problems both in the front- and backend. We offer a SaaS solution for our customers, but in the backend side we do a lot with payment handling and we are currently getting PCI-DSS audited. Our solution is built on top of Google Cloud & Firebase, and it uses React+Redux+TypeScript and Node.JS to achieve its glory. We aim to deploy code daily/weekly as continuous manner as we can.

So this means that you will get to:

• Work with payments. Currently done on top of Stripe and Adyen
• Work with serverless architecture. 
• Work with the paradigm of rentals: "Something goes out, with the promise of it coming back in at XXX, so that YYYY if not then ZZZ". All of this done in an agnostic manner, where it is our job to make sure that both parties in the rental (usually a business and a consumer) are aware of what's going on

Some example features to give you an idea:

"The user wants to extend the alpine ski rental of their child by 1 hour. This means that the rental system needs to know whether the equipment is still available then, and then manage the related payments."

"The end-user wants to add a helmet to their bicycle rental while reviewing the rental terms via the rental link. She should be able to add certain pre-defined products as accessories or upselling products to the rental without the need to again call the rental shop."
