WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY

Our Education Team is currently looking for a Scrum Master. Scrum implementation has been a key component in producing efficient results for some of our other teams, and we're in search of someone who knows best practices to further improve our development process, and apply them to fit our Education Team.

In this role, you will lead and coach our team to build necessary Agile development and lead our EDU team through their transition into a mature Scrum Team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Establish and uphold Scrum practices and values in the team.
• Support and educate the Product Owner and Development Team on their roles within the Scrum Team.
• Organize and run Scrum and non-Scrum sessions.
• Ensure continuous improvement of the team's processes.
• Guide and coach the Development Team on self-organizing.
• Remove impediments or help the team to remove impediments.
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
• Encourage getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating.
• Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
• Collaborate with other teams and Scrum Masters to improve the company's practices at an organizational level.

WHO YOU ARE

• First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM).
• Rigorous knowledge of the Scrum framework.
• Experience acting as Scrum Master for at least one year for a Scrum Team.
• Strong grasp of servant-leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
• Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills, empathy and respect.
• A passion for researching, organizing and optimizing tools and processes.
• Familiarity with the technical processes involved in software development.
