As Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in a multi-national project where you are responsible for the data which powers our machine learning platform.

You will work in in our Espoo office, or occasionally from home. You collaborate with an inspiring team of world-class data scientists and developers on a regular basis and report to our CTO who is located in Berlin, Germany. Your Background

You have a solid theoretical background in software engineering and several years of professional experience with large-scale data retrieval and processing. Your work history includes projects in which you designed and implemented ETL pipelines.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Deep knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases, ideally PostgreSQL
• Advanced knowledge of an ETL Tool, preferably Talend Open Studio
• 4+ years of ETL / data pipeline development
• 2+ years Python programming experience
• Familiarity with shell-scripting in Linux/Unix-based OS
• Fluent English and willingness to work in distributed team

The following skills will be an advantage:

• Processing of geospatial data (PostGIS)
• DevOps / Docker / Cloud Computing
• Developing RESTful Web Service APIs
